Message to All Veterans Service Organizations – Without an up to date active website for your organization, whether you are an American Legion, VFW, DAV or AMVets post, your organization will struggle to grow. Our new, younger Veterans are more electronically connected so you need to have a footprint online for them to see who you are, what you offer and when. If you only have a calendar online, let me know the link and I will list it here. If you do not have an online presence, PLEASE send your monthly Calendars to [email protected] so we may post them on this page for ALL VETERANS to see!! If you send your calendars monthly, I will make sure to post them monthly so all our Heroes will know what is happening within our Veterans Social Network here in Hamilton County. If I have missed any Hamilton County Veterans Organizations, please send Me your info. Also update me on who your Post Commander is and a contact number/email.
Thank You!!

The Military Veterans Coalition of Indiana (TMVCI) – The TMVCI is made up of military, Veterans and service organizations who promote Military awareness and advocacy throughout Indiana. Our mission is to promote the needs of the military community of Indiana including Active, National Guard, Reserve, retirees and their families. We will encourage the Indiana government to enact legislation recognizing the honor brought to the state and nation by their service. This will be communicated through personal contact with legislators, via the media and on our website to motivate government representatives of Indiana and other agencies as deemed necessary. TheTMVCI meets on the first Friday of every month 9:30am at
Fort Harrison VFW Post # 7119

Tell every Veteran you know about this wonderful organization’s website. TMVCI is fighting our state legislators to get our Veterans what they deserve.
The Veterans Support Council (VSC) website is a resource center for our Hoosier Veterans, Military and their Families. On their Resources page you will find local, state and federal organizations that offer our Veterans, Military and their Families the goods, services, programs and benefits they have earned. The VSC is also the official sponsor, fund raiser and promoter of the Marion County Mayors’ Veterans Appreciation Day Event. On their MACV page (Mayor’s Advisory Council for Veterans) they list what all the MACV does for our Veterans and invite you to help.
- The VSC and the Mayors Advisory Council for Veterans (MACV) work hand in hand to better serve and inform our local Veteran, Military community and inform our Government Officials on our Veterans needs.
- Also check their Events page to keep up on Marion County events, which mainly covers their Mayor’s Veteran’s Appreciation Day.
